  2. Appraisers must make a full day commitment on tournament day to ensure transparent and fair scoring at each Challenge site. Challenge sites typically run from 7AM to 4:30 PM at the latest.

Additional Information

-Every team MUST have one adult volunteer to represent their DI team as a Tournament Appraiser.

-Appraising is a two-day commitment. One Saturday training in February AND  Regional Tournament in March.

-Everything you need to know will be taught to you at Appraiser Training on Feb 10th, 2018.

-You may not be assigned to your own child/family member's challenge site.

-To ensure transparent and fair scoring at each Challenge site, Appraisers may only leave during scheduled breaks. This means the team volunteer  Appraiser will not get to see their team perform.

-If you are a team manager, you will make a great appraiser but may NOT work in Instant Challenge OR the Challenge you are managing.

-You will receive a nifty Tee and an official’s luncheon and snack on tournament day!

-Knowing your team’s membership number and Team Manager name will help ease  Appraisal Registration.

-All Appraiser info is due on Feb 1st so we can properly prepare for training.

**NOTE: Appraisers registering earlier are MORE LIKELY to be assigned the position they requested.

Special Note: PLEASE If you sign up, please follow through on your commitment. This program teaches kids commitment and teamwork. We expect the adults to set the example. Any team whose registered appraiser does not show up at the training will be invoiced for the full price of 250.00. A team will be allowed to present their solution, but will not be scored unless all fees are paid in full! We have often seen teams hurt because adults did not take their commitment seriously. Please understand that we have this policy only because ILDI is run totally by volunteers and we can’t provide tournaments without the help of each team. We would much rather have the volunteers – not the money. This is a small investment of your time and talents to do something to help a great group of kids have an experience they will never forget! Thank you.
